Company Description

Our client is a well-known Singapore based conglomerate group.  Through its subsidiaries and associated companies it is involved in investment holding, operators of ships and charterers, owners and operators of warehouses and trading in various products e.g. chemicals, steel, fertilizers and sugar products. 

To support the expansion within one of their subsidiaries (wine distribution) they are currently seeking for a professional and experienced Accounting Manager.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Director your duties will include the following:

·        Handle and supervise daily accounting functions for the project companies (accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxation and reporting matters)

·        Assess project structuring or development transaction from a tax perspective

·        Preparation of monthly management accounts for these entities as well as the preparation of annual financial statements.

·        Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cash-flow forecasts for the various development projects.

·        Liaison with third party contractors and other associated parties in order to monitor and control working capital requirements and costs incurred on these projects.

·        Regular liaison with various external third parties including accountants, auditors, lawyers, administrators, bankers etc. These third parties are expected to be located both in Hong Kong and overseas.

·        Help with the implementation of an ERP system

·        Assist in project financing.

·        Assist in set up/implementation of accounting policies and procedures

Job Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance  with a CPA/ACCA designation

·        Minimum of 10 years’ experience within Retail or FMCG is a MUST

·        A well organised, mature person that is able to work under deadlines, while having a strong sense of direction and time management

·        Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential

·        Previously built and supervised a team

·        Essential to have experience with the implementation of an ERP system

·        Strong command of both English and Cantonese
