Job Description
Head of Operations – Asia Pacific region
The candidate is responsible for implementing and overseeing the entire Supply Chain Management of the region. He/ She must also establish the system processes for all SAP functions to enhance the process lines within the Asia Pacific region and the Headquarters. His / Her other roles include:
· Overall responsible for Cost to Delivery, Inventory Levels Optimization and Customer Satisfaction
· Provide training and ensure all SAP processes are streamlined and coordinated within the organization.
· Coordinate inventory management strategies (Forecasting, Safety Stock Planning) along with Manufacturing/Supply Chain within all sites in Asia Pac
· Leadership on Inventory, Freight optimization, Product Rationalization, Monthly Forecasts, etc
· Management of medium sized independent department and responsible for overall supply chain performance; day-to-day tactical activities
· Evaluate the structure / capabilities of processes and contribute to the development of an integrated global supply chain organization that develop SCM structure that is capable of informing internal and external customers about inventory situation, distribution cost and quality of service level
· Coordinate / lead coordination interface with country leaders and leaders of relevant group functions to determine and achieve targets, establish indicators and ensure consistency between the distribution organization / strategy and the strategy of these group functions in order to produce and ship quality product on time and on budget
· Contribute to the development of an integrated systems environment, to more effectively manage the entire supply chain and to optimize total delivered costs and customer service levels (inclusive of demand forecasting, procurement, production forecasting, logistics planning, inventory/order management)
· Identify and initiate projects that lead to cost reduction / avoidance and cost-effectiveness in relation to purchase of materials, machine and equipment or services.
· Monitor the key performance indicators (KPI) for purchasing that include supplier performance measurement, cost saving/avoidance, inventory turn, contracts and supplier management.
· Build a common platform for demand forecasting planning, inventory management and communication across the region
· Ensure adherence to Quality procedures and company policy
· Measure and prepare supply chain efficiencies report on inventory and customer service
· Prepare the bi-weekly backlog report
· Promote supply chain excellence
Requirements :
· Possess a minimum Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics/ Mechatronics.
· Post Graduate studies in a relevant field will be an advantage.
· SAP usage experience is required
· Minimum 8 years of related experience in the supply chain management field in the Engineering sector with at least three years of experience in senior management level and / or equivalent.
· Management Experience in Supply Chain covering Gas Compressors, turbos, pumps and associated rotating equipment, its customers, Oil & Gas Industry as well as knowledge in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
· Equipped with proven abilities/ experiences such as:
· Effective utilisation of the SAP system and establishment of system processes
· Some experience in Sales, key accounts management, marketing, HR, local finance, auditing etc essential.
· Excellent communicator to all employees and clients
· Excellent technical understanding/ skills of the industry’s hardware and software
· Strong analytical, planning, problem solving, mediation and negotiation skills
· Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment and complete projects on time
· Excellent organizational / time/ people management capabilities
· Hard working and detail / process oriented managerial style
