We seek a diligent, dedicated and business-driven candidate with strong commercial accounting experience, who can contribute to the company and become a valuable asset to the team
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Handling the core in-house accounting functions, including all Accounts Payables functions, invoicing and collection, regional accounts consolidation, month-end closing, financial and management reporting
- Handling, commissions calculation and contracts.
- Responsible for reviewing the payroll system and temporary and contract recruitment payment system to analyze any areas that need improvement in terms of risk and control.
- Working with the outsource payroll company manager to assess current system and recommend retention or identifying new system.
- Ad hoc projects requiring analysis, recommendation, implementation and completion. For example identifying and implementing an invoicing system Weekly cash management and cash forecast.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate with a major in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of book-keeping, general accounting and substantial commercial experience.
- Sound working knowledge of various payroll systems with hands-on experience on the controls and systems side of payroll a definite advantage
- Strong spreadsheet skills, and Peachtree experience is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent conversational skills.
- Mature and patient with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent project implementation skills
- Able to work independently with no directions, a good team-player, and comfortable working with all levels within the organization
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- The ideal candidate will be an accountant with solid hands-on commercial experience. They will be mature, highly self-motivated and results-driven individuals with excellent follow-through skills and prepared to contribute within a strong team. This may be an experienced person returning to the workforce, who can utilize the company’s flexible working hours..
SALARY, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- $30-38K (Dependent on skill set and level of expertise). Flexible working hours, 5 days per week, generous annual leave entitlement, and health care.
