ARE YOU A QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT WITH PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN FINANCIAL/REAL ESTATE/PROPERTY INDUSTRY, AND COMPETENT IN HANDLING SPECIAL PURPOSE VEHICLE (SPV) LEVEL MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS? ARE YOU KNOWLEDGEABLE IN STATUTORY REPORTING, INCLUDING IFRS AND US GAAP STANDARDS, COUPLED WITH EXCELLENT ANALYTICAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS?
Our client is a private equity real estate investment advisory and fund management company providing investment management services to investors seeking exposure to the Asian and European real estate markets. They are independently managed, forming the private arm of a global leading Australian banking corporation – a diversified international provider of banking, financial, advisory and investment services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager(s), the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Review of the monthly/quarterly property manager reports
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly special purpose vehicle (SPV) level management accounts
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts to bank statements
- Production of annual financial statements for investment and SPV companies
- Achievement of a clean annual audit opinion
- Coordination of all tax initiatives for investments
- Provision of financial services support to the asset manager
- Monitoring of SPV compliance, including: tax returns, audit, financial statements, and other regulatory reporting
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts (monthly) and inputs ready to do into fund models
- Assistance with special projects and ad-hoc assignments as required
This person will be working closely with both internal and external counterparts, including Fund Controller, Investment Accountants, Treasury Managers, auditors, government, legislative and taxation bodies, and other advisory services and suppliers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- University graduate with a major in Accounting/Commerce/Economics
- Qualified accountant with proven experience in financial/real estate/property industry is desirable
- Sound knowledge of statutory reporting, including IFRS and US GAAP. Exposure to local and PRC GAAP is a plus.
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and SUN System
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English and Cantonese
- Exposure to foreign currency reporting
- Good sense of control, and a strong business mindset
- Mature and independent with a strong sense of responsibility, able to work under pressure and to operate effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Proactive, committed to high standards and influential in decision making
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with solid hands-on investment accounting experience dealing with SPV level accounts, and a strong background in real estate or property sector. They need to be influential, highly self-motivated and results-driven individuals and are prepared to contribute within a strong team.
