OUR CLIENT IS A REPUTED EUROPEAN CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING GROUP, PROVIDING A FULL RANGE OF FINANCIAL SERVICES WORLDWIDE. THEY ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING TO HIRE AN INDEPENDENT, SMART AND QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT TO LEAD THEIR MANAGEMENT AND COST REPORTING TEAM.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful incumbent will be reporting directly to the Regional Controller- Asia and supervising 4 accounting staff. Job responsibilities include:

• Supervise production of the local and head office NEA management accounts, ensuring all P&L, Balance Sheet and Solvency which impact the businesses are reflected in these accounts
• To look for ways to streamline/automate all management accounting and accounts payable processes and controls
• To review and prepare commentaries for the local and head office management accounts
• To assist management in understanding the solvency calculations for the Branch under both BIS1 and BIS2 and to oversee the accuracy of the data in the datacapture system.
• Update policies including management accounting & T&E, General Expenses, SUN system Procedures, NEA Representative Offices Accounting Procedures etc.
• To assist the Regional Head of Finance to advise, analysis and solve accounting, solvency and tax issues.
• To assist the Business in understanding their P&L.
• To manage the daily accounts payable function to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• To ensure efficient and accurate sales reporting for NEA

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Suitable candidates MUST:

• Be a Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years post qualification banking experience
• Possess a minimum of 8- 10 years bank accounting related experience
• Possess Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Have experience from investment OR corporate banking at a regional capacity
• Be able to supervise and coach staff
• Have strong technical knowledge including IFRS Additional skills
• Experience in Basel 1 and 2 and good overall product knowledge is an added advantage
• Good PC skills
• Strong Finance systems concepts and controls

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Must come from the Corporate or Investment Banking environments
• Must have solid experience in Management Accounting and Accounts Payables
• Must come from a International banking environment with regional exposure

SALARY

• Salary is negotiable according to level of experience
