Our client is a well reputed Hong Kong investment banking subsidiary of an Asian global bank, providing international financial solution to its customers.
They target all potential clients in Asia in particular with a focus on emerging markets, bringing a distinctive business model of providing cross-border financial services solutions. They are now seeking to hire an Associate Analyst to join the Project & Structure Finance Team.
The incumbent will be directly reporting to the Head of Project & Structured Finance and working with a team of seasoned professionals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the Project & Structured Finance team, the successful candidate will assist in analyzing, executing and closing profitable transactions, in Asia and mainland China. Roles include both lending and financial advisory.
Responsibilities Include
- Assisting in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing projects and structured financings.
- Performing complex cashflow modeling, including ROE/ROI calculations, and in-depth credit analysis of the transactions (both quantitative and qualitative)
- Assist in writing credit approval forms
- Undertake know your customer (KYC) due diligence, and monitor compliance with internal credit and compliance issues.
- Assist in preparing and delivering marketing presentations.
- Liaise with clients, banks and other lenders, and service providers (eg. lawyers and consultants)
- Assist in the preparation of budgets
- Travel as required, occasionally at short notice.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent spoken and written English and Mandarin a prerequisite.
- Highly competent in modeling and analyzing figures
- Likely 3-5 years of work experience in finance. ACCA or similar – a significant plus.
- Ability to understand, analyze and present a transactions credit strengths and risks.
- Strong experience in using Excel for modeling purposes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly flexible.
