Job Description :

Our Client is a US based MNC and global leader in connectivity solutions, offering a range of peripherals for the computer, electronics, and mobile consumer. Their products are globally recognized in the marketplace for their high quality, excellent performance, and good value to the customer. Today, they are one of the fastest growing companies in the United States.

They are seeking a strategic thinker with proven ability to manage a DIVERSIFIED channel portfolio that includes a balanced mix of RETAIL, SYSTEMS Integrator, OEM and Distributors in Hong Kong. The successful incumbent will have an overall vision and strategy on how to drive the Hong Kong market with full Profit and Loss accountability.

Candidates MUST have a minimum of 7 years in Sales with consumer electronics, with minimum 3 years as a Country Manager. Communication skills in English and Chinese are essential to the success of this role with the ability to drive brand equity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the overall vision and strategy for respective country/market including full P&L accountability, building best-in-class relationships within channel, building brand equity, sharing best practices amongst country team and across the Asia Pacific management team, and overall leader of the company.

  • Establish high level relationships throughout existing and potential customer base
  • Drive brand mindshare throughout the country; Measure through a Net Promoter/Net Detractor type concept; Goal of driving positive brand equity
  • Deliver on a diversified channel portfolio strategy that includes a balanced mix of retail, system integrators, OEM, distribution, etc
  • Understand our markets inside-out; know it better than our customers and competitors
  • Establish metrics that all functional departments measure themselves against and make visible; establish a dashboard that has all the KPIs made visible on a consistent basis
  • Provide vision and strategy for the country to ensure the team is completely in alignment within their own functional discipline (i.e. marketing, sales, etc)
  • Ensure our product portfolio has a balanced mix and that were not too heavily weighted or reliant in a particular category
  • Ensure product roadmap delivers on right product, right time and right quality
  • Deliver quality and robust products/solutions to the market that provide a true ecstatic end-user experience Deliver on thoughtful and effective marketing solutions to support all of our sales efforts through merchandising, collateral, website, advertising, etc
  • Ensure healthy balance sheet and income statement with focus on delivering enterprise value for short, intermediate and long term
  • Ensure best in class operations are in place to support the company’s goals (inventory, costs, fulfillment, quality control, planning, etc.)
  • Manage business to meet or exceed revenue and profit targets

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to execute company strategy
  • High-level relationships at Tier 1 and Tier 2 distribution
  • Preferable to possess relationships in retail, distribution, reseller and OEM sales or some combination thereof
  • Propensity for technology products and ability to articulate product strategy
  • Proven ability to thrive in a results-oriented company culture
  • Self-starter that excels in an autonomous and entrepreneurial type culture
  • 10+ years experience in IT/CE channel
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Country Manager role
  • MBA degree preferable
  • Strong communications skills
  • Fluent in local language and good command of English language
